My baby turned 2

Cecilia turned 2 years old on May 19th. My baby girl is now a toddler.

She is not normally this shy.

We made a kitty cake for the occasion. I cut up some graham crackers for the ears.

Cecilia didn't want anything to do with the candles, so Harvey was kind enough to blow them out. We sang Happy Birthday over Google chat with PopPop.

We had a family only party. Auntie Rachel and Uncle James came and brought Cecilia some summer gear. She insisted on wearing it immediately.

Some things about 2 year old Cecilia:

  •  has no fear.
  •  loves bugs, worms, snakes, and kitties.
  • would do anything Harvey asks of her
  • enjoys singing
  • likes learning new words
  • her hair is still curly and blonde
  • weighs 25 pounds

Flynners

I can't get enough of this little guy.

He's mostly a lump right now.

But he is my lump.

I just love his little squishy face.

I love his long toes.

these pics were actually taken back in May.

But I figured no one would mind if I posted them a few weeks late.

Flynn told me he doesn't mind at all.

Everyone has been asking how Flynn's siblings like him. Cecilia mostly ignores him, but will occasionally give him a rough pat and say good baby.

Harvey is much more interested in the little man.

These brothers are going to be good buddies.

Memorial Day Weekend

I'm a bit behind in posting, so this week I'm going to try and catch up. So, Memorial day weekend was a lot of fun for us, we wen to the parade, went on some rides at Herrin Fest and came home for funnel cake and fireworks.
This is the very first time we have ever done fireworks. The kids were very impressed.

Our friends came over, this one is Claire.

We also had some snap pops.

We threw them at the sidewalk.

We had to make sure the kids stayed far apart with the sparklers. We didn't want any singed hair or skin.

Cecilia, Parker, Clair, and Harvey has a great time. Their parents were a bit more stressed about keeping everyone safe.

Everyone wanted more snap pops.

Harvey and Cecilia kept wanting to touch the flame.

Harvey actually burnt his finger on the first one. He was a bit afraid after that, but the awesomeness of fireworks won him over in the end.

The parade was nice too. The kiddos figured out that waving = candy very quickly.

Cecilia tasted about 5 different suckers and finished 0.

We wound up leaving early because it was a very long parade. The kids didn't mind at all.

We had a lovely weekend!

Joy School Graduation.

YEAY joy school is over!!!! Opps, do I sound a bit too excited? Eh, I can't help how I feel. Anyways, Graduation was Saturday. We had a nice low key celebration that was the perfect way to end the school year.

We Shared our family flag.

Everyone had a little input with this. Harvey picked the pink fabric and the sharks, Cecilia demanded stars, and Captain chose necromancy bells as an homage to his funeral career. I had way too much fun putting it together as it was my first craft in a month.

The kiddos received certificates. Harvey was obsessed with his yarn staying together, it made taking photos difficult.

We had ice cream for dessert, Harvey was very excited.

The first time we gave Harvey his hat, he refused to wear it. The only way it stayed on his head was the threat of loosing the for mentioned ice cream.

The prep song was a failure for singing, but a winner for cheering. I love how they are moving so fast it is blurry.

Again, Harvey was only cooperating for the ice cream.

Captain and Harvey sang a song. Well, captain sang, and Harvey kindly pointed to the words for him. Cecilia didn't get in the way.

These are the lovely ladies I taught with this year. I can't help but look at this photo and think about how short I am.

Twinsies

This baby looks just like his daddy.
