We have exciting lives here at the Smith house.

Harvey and Cecilia coloring a box.

Ginka trying to find someone to play with.

Cecilia bonds with the baby.

 Good times.

Does anyone else remember last march? Well I do, we were going for daily walks and the kiddos would run outside mostly naked.

This year is not at all like last year, though I have had my fair share of kids bolting out the door naked.

No, I don't think pants are for me today mom.

Yesterday it snowed. Then the snow all melted. Then it snowed again. I don't mind snow too much, but i really don't like all the wet clothes we get from playing in it.

The kids don't mind being a little wet. They think snow is tasty.

Bathroom Fun

Last week we took soap and foamed it up really well. Then I let the kids go to town painting in the tub.

This was Harvey's general reaction.

Cecilia was not quite as excited about the whole thing.

Harvey + foam = one happy kid.

Cecilia + foam = one doubtful kid..

We tried painting paper, but it was too messy.

I did finally get a smile out of Cecelia. This is her "cheese" face. She only does it for photos.

We did this before the bathroom remodel. It seemed only fitting to have one last bash in the tub before it was smashed to smithereens.

More Dirt

Some pics of more dirt in my house. This was much less stressful than the missing floor in the bathroom, much easier to clean up too.

This year i'm starting my garden with seeds planted in mini green houses. It is called winter sowing. The kids had a blast helping me fill up the milk jugs.

After we finished, I planted  the seeds and labeled the jugs.  Harvey wanted to help with this too, but he was only interested in the pea seeds.

We now have 30 mini green houses lining our southern facing fence. Some have sprouted already! Unfortunately  the rain and snow have removed about 1/6 of the labels. So we will have some mystery plants come spring.

The remodel of our bathroom has started.

This is what the bathroom looked like when we moved in. I know what you are thinking, pink and purple totally make the room.

I forgot to take pictures of what it looked like right before captain started demo work. Imagine if you will, the wall paper removed and a white sink and vanity and a tub that flexes when more than 100 lbs walk in it.

This is what it looks like now.

I have to admit, seeing dirt like this seriously stresses me out. I am not made for gigantic remodels.
